“Colliding Worlds”, from the worlds of jazz and traditional Chinese music for a wide-ranging programme, aptly sums up our experiences throughout the pandemic, and it also mirrors our approach at HKBU, as we are seeking to merge the arts and sciences as part of our holistic approach to education and research. As in music, where we can gain so much from mixing different genres and styles, we are seeing inspiring examples emerge from various parts of the University, especially when our top scientists join hands with our leading arts and humanities scholars.
